MARGATE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN FORUM & MARGATE CIVIC SOCIETY
LOCAL LIST SYMPOSIUM
EAST KENT HERITAGE COMMUNITY
TUESDAY 17TH MARCH 2015 10.00 – 16.00
FOYLE ROOMS, TURNER CONTEMPORARY, MARGATE
Local Lists are part of National Planning Policy. They have been around for many years and nearly half of Local Planning Authorities in England already have them. Thanet does not yet have Local Lists.
Local lists provide an opportunity for communities to have their views on local heritage heard. Local lists play an essential role in building and reinforcing a sense of local character and distinctiveness in the historic environment. Local lists can be used to identify significant local heritage assets to support the development of Local and Neighbourhood Plans.
The event is free and open to everyone, but places are limited and must be strictly booked in advance.
To make a reservation, Please contact Geoff Orton: Geoff.Orton@tesco.net
Special thanks to Turner Contemporary for hosting the event.
